Water Conservation in the Bathroom

(Nanuet, NY)

I have a water saving tip that everyone can use in their bathroom. Fill a 1/2 to 1 gallon bottle with water; this can be an old gallon or ½ gallon carton of milk. Place this bottle inside the water tank of the commode or toilet.

The water displaced by the bottle is saved every time you flush. This can save up to a gallon of water each flush. There are products on the market that do essentially the same thing, but why pay when you can do it yourself.
